Porcelain kusenaoshi made by ceramic artist Zsuzsanna Sinkovits, fired at 1250 degrees. Glazed from top to center, unglazed on the bottom. Polished finish gives it a silky touch and matte surface. Dishwasher-safe.
The kusenaoshi is used to hold the chasen (matcha whisk). It helps to maintain its form, therefore prolonging the lifetime of each chasen.
