Filter coffee is a method of brewing coffee where ground coffee is placed in a paper filter and hot water is poured overtop. As the water passes through the coffee grounds, it dissolves the flavour and aroma compounds and oils present in the coffee through the filter paper. The result is a clean coffee that highlights the characteristics of the region where the coffee was grown.
